(Physalis pubescens) Annual. Small, golden yellow, round fruit encased in a papery lantern. Sweet, tropical flavour. Produced on bush to 30cm high. Also known as 'Ground Cherry', 'Husk Tomato' or 'Golden Berry'. Serve fresh or in salsas and preserves such as jams and jellies. A relative of the Cape Gooseberry but with much more sprawling, low growth habit. Fruit is mature and ready for harvest when papery lanterns turn brown and fruit falls to the ground. 180 seeds
