***NOT TO TAS, WA, NT***  (Ribes nidigrolaria) Originally a generic cross between a black currant and gooseberry.  Thornless stems producing dark purple / black berries to 1cm across with a tart flavour.  High in Vitamin C.  Self-fertile.  Disease resistant.  Add berries to fruit salads, pies, summer puddings or ice-cream.  May also be used for jam, jellies and relishes.

Grows best in cooler areas.
