(NOT TO SA)  (Malus domestica)  Possibly the largest apple in cultivation.  Used for both fresh eating & cooking it was found by Mrs. Peasgood of Stamford in Lincolnshire, England in 1858.  Extremely good, sweet, apple flavour with slight acid.  Flesh is highly aromatic, firm, crisp & juicy.  Bakes well.  Regular yields.  Relatively disease resistant.  Self-fertile varlety.

SCION 
You will receive 1 scion wood only (ie. a cutting from the parent tree).  It will come packaged in a moisture sealed & labelled bag. While ideally it should be grafted onto your existing tree, or planted as soon as you receive it in the mail, the scion may be placed in the fridge for storage (1-4 months) 
Our scions are harvested from the trees in June each year & then posted to customers July / August.   
Orders for scions are able to be placed at any time throughout the year.
All scion varieties are sold subject to availability.
 
ORCHARD LABEL
Long lasting Orchard Labels with fruit type & variety name - similar to those seen in Botanical Gardens.  
May be either tied to a side branch with wire or chain, attached to a timber stake beside the tree with a screw or attached directly onto the tree using a galvanised long screw & spring to allow space for growth.
