***NOT TO TAS, WA***  (Colocasia esculenta)  Heirloom also known as 'Purple Spot Taro'.  Large tubers up to 2kg with creamy white, dense, starchy flesh with purple flecks.  Tubers may be boiled, mashed, baked or thinly sliced and fried to make taro chips.  Requires a long growing season.  May be grown in full sun or part shade.  May be planted at any time of the year in frost free areas or spring in cooler climates.
